It could be the A/C lubricant you are seeing. This vehicle probably came with an R12 system, and it that case it more than likely used Mineral Oil as a lubricant. But if it happens to be an R134a system then it has PAG as a lubricant. If it was an R12 system that was converted over to R134a, it will contain Ester Oil or PAG. Look at the conversion tag on the compressor for this info. What you are seeing can also be nothing more than plain old oil from a leaking valve cover gasket. Antifreeze will also have an oily feel to it. It depends on where it is coming from. Wipe all the oily substance up and then see exactly where it is coming from. If it is A/C oil, you need to have this fixed ASAP, or you will ruin the compressor.
